[DATA EXPUNGED]

Experimental Log 465-7a
Date: ██/██/████
Personnel: thekit, D-class Subject-465-3, Pvt █████ ███████ (observer/security), Cpl ██████ ███████ ███████████ (observer/security).
Equipment: SCP-465, HK-91 serial number ████████████, rifle safety chain (to prevent muzzle being pointed anywhere but downrange), (3x) M62 tracer round, (2x) Vision Research Phantom v12.1 High Speed Cameras, (2x) Type 41 field computers for data acquisition, 40x Spotting scope (unknown brand) with generic tripod, foam sleeping mat, sandbag rest, (4x) wire cages for rats, (3x) Shoot-N-C adhesive bullseye paper targets, (1x) wooden crate, (4x) SHR strain rats slated for euthanasia borrowed from [DATA EXPUNGED].
Method:

  • All personnel and equipment moved to the Site-19 outdoor firing range and set up.
  • SHR rat placed in a target cage, and put on top of the wooden crate at 25m, with Shoot-N-C target affixed so as to obscure the rat from view up range.
  • All personnel move behind the firing line. Range officer declares range hot.
  • HK-91 loaded with 1 round of M62, placed on sandbag rest and chained into position.
  • D-class subject released from arm restraints.
  • D-class subject instructed to sight through SCP-465 at the center of the bullseye and press the trigger.

Results: Rifle fired normally. Full bullet flight trajectory shown by camera 2. Camera 1 shows SCP-465 acting as an ordinary rifle scope.
Notes: Appears some sort of visual connection is required between the subject and the target.

Experimental Log 465-7b
Date: ██/██/████
Personnel: thekit, D-class Subject-465-3, Pvt █████ ███████ (observer/security), Cpl ██████ ███████ ███████████ (observer/security).
Equipment: experiment 7a, except target cage has no adhesive target obscuring visual contact with the rat.
Method:

  • All personnel move behind the firing line. Range officer declares range hot.
  • HK-91 loaded with 1 round of M62, placed on sandbag rest and chained into position.
  • D-class subject released from arm restraints.
  • D-class subject instructed to sight through SCP-465 at the rat's center of mass, but then close his eyes for a full three seconds before pressing the trigger when commanded.

Results: Rifle fired normally. Full bullet flight trajectory shown by camera 2. Camera 1 shows SCP-465 acting as an ordinary rifle scope.
Notes: Appears some sort of visual connection is required between the subject and the target.

Experimental Log 465-7c
Date: ██/██/████
Personnel: thekit, D-class Subject-465-3, Pvt █████ ███████ (observer/security), Cpl ██████ ███████ ███████████ (observer/security).
Equipment: As experiment 7a, but with a full length free standing mirror and a blank sheet of paper instead of the bullseye target.
Method:

  • All personnel and equipment moved to the Site-19 outdoor firing range and set up.
  • SHR rat placed in a target cage, and put on top of the wooden crate at 25m, with a blank sheet of paper affixed so as to obscure the rat from view up range.
  • Mirror placed 25m downrange at a 45 degree angle such that the rat's image can be seen in the mirror.
  • All personnel move behind the firing line. Range officer declares range hot.
  • HK-91 loaded with 1 round of M62, placed on sandbag rest and chained into position.
  • D-class subject released from arm restraints.
  • D-class subject instructed to sight through SCP-465 at the image of the rat's center of mass in the mirror and then press the trigger.

Results: Rifle fired normally. Full bullet flight trajectory shown by camera 2. Camera 1 shows SCP-465 acting as an ordinary rifle scope.
Notes: Is it possible that SCP-465 is capable of distinguishing between real and illusory targets? Or is it simply that there needs to be an unimpeded connection between SCP-465 and the target? Further research recommended [DATA EXPUNGED].

[DATA EXPUNGED]

Experimental Log 465-11
Date: ██/██/████
Personnel: Agent ███ █████████, Special Agent █████ █ █████.
Equipment: SCP-465, HK-91 serial number ████████████, (50x) M62 tracer round, (2x) Vision Research Phantom v12.1 High Speed Cameras, (2x) Type 41 field computers for data acquisition, 40x Bushnell Spotting scope with generic tripod, Eagle Industries Shooting Mat (SMRA), (4x) wire cages for rats, Precision Remotes inc. T-2 Telepresent Rapid Aiming Platform with
soft eye cup hand controller, (1x) wooden crate, (4x) BN strain rats slated for euthanasia borrowed from [DATA EXPUNGED].
Method:

  • All personnel and equipment moved to the Site-19 outdoor firing range and set up.
  • BN rat placed in a target cage, and put on top of the wooden crate at 25m.
  • All personnel move behind the firing line. Range officer declares range hot.
  • HK-91 installed in TRAP unit and function checked.
  • HK-91 loaded with full magazine of M62, 1 round in the chamber.
  • Agent ███ █████████ put his eye to the video viewfinder of the remote hand controller unit, aimed at the center of mass of the rat in the target cage, disengaged main safety switch on TRAP control unit, disengaged hand controller safety switch and depressed both trigger buttons simultaneously.

Results:

  • Bullet "teleports" to 10cm (approx) in front of target rat and obliterates it.
  • Agent ███ █████████ loses his remaining good eye.
  • High speed camera footage from Camera 2 shows bullet appear in front of target between frames, even while running at 10,000 fps.
  • Camera 1 shows the rifle recoil in the TRAP unit with no unusual motion of the SCP-465, except a sudden spray of blood.
  • Two meters away and off camera, Agent ███ █████████ drops the hand controller and falls to the ground clutching his eye socket. His blood is present on the viewfinder, but no eye tissue is found.
  • Blood on SCP-465 does not match that of Agent ███ █████████.

Notes:

  • Special Agent █████ █ █████ reprimanded for unethical behavior, willfully endangering a Foundation operative and conducting an unauthorized experiment. Demoted to Level 1 security clearance.
  • Agent ███ █████████ suspended on medical leave.
  • Dr. Bright stresses that only D-class personnel should handle SCP-465.
