Special Containment Procedures: SCP-228 is to be kept at all times at Reliquary Research and Containment Site-76, in a tightly controlled electromagnetic dampening cage capable of filtering out any form of electromagnetic radiation from ELF to gamma rays. Personnel are required to remove all devices that emit any level of electromagnetic signals before approaching SCP-228, including but not limited to cellular phones, hearing aids, portable media players, and USB thumbdrives. Personnel that have electrical systems implanted in their bodies (such as a pacemaker) are not allowed to interact with SCP-228 under any circumstances.
Personnel cleared to interact with and experiment on SCP-228 must have at least three Rho-level ██████████ present for the strict monitoring and control of the e/m dampening cage. Radiation leakage must not exceed 0.0007 percent of normal environmental conditions or SCP-228 may accelerate to full power. If such an event should occur, personnel should initiate a maximum level ██████-type burst at SCP-228, repeating as necessary until SCP-228 deactivates. Should this procedure be inadequate, destruction of SCP-228 is authorized by appropriate available means.
Additionally, all interview questions must be screened by a Level-4 ████ and two Level-3 █████ before being presented to SCP-228, due to the temporally anomalous nature of the object.
Description: SCP-228 was first encountered following reports from ████, ██████████. Local authorities described a woman of impossible strength who was seemingly immune to conventional firearms and melee weaponry, who had been rampaging through the town killing every human in its sight. Agents ████ and █████ devised the inverse-Faraday effect that originally neutralized SCP-228. Extensive testing has confirmed the hypothesis that SCP-228 had fallen through the same "time leak" as SCP-782, possibly from as far in the future as ████.
SCP-228 appears to be a techno-mechanical android of a design far superior to techniques presently available. It largely resembles an adult human female, approximately 25-32 years of age, excepting places where it has received physical damage. In these sections, its synthetic skin has been torn to reveal its mechanical underworkings. SCP-228 does not appear to have suffered any notable decrease in function due to this damage, and it is surmised that the effects may merely be superficial.
Although much of SCP-228's schematic structure is not readily understood, and almost none of it has been successfully reverse-engineered, one particularly evident aspect of its design bears noting: the android appears to have no internal power source, instead siphoning electromagnetic energy from its environment. This energy siphon seems to be fairly analogous to a solar cell, but is able to utilize the full spectrum of electromagnetic waves, from Extremely Low Frequency Radio up to X-Rays and Gamma Rays. Furthermore, the sheer amount of electromagnetic energy present in an area is directly proportional to its abilities; in a heavily urbanized area, for example, SCP-228 is capable of vastly superhuman physical strength, incredible speed, and near-singularity computational processing.
Addendum 228-B: Extensive research has revealed that SCP-228 can be interacted with so long as its power levels are restrained below the threshold that it can cause physical harm. It has the ability to speak in English, but consecutive interviews have revealed that the English language, or at least the subset utilized by machines, has evolved significantly by its year of origin. Interviews with SCP-228 are therefore problematic at best, as the higher concepts are sometimes impossible to accurately convey in translation. Refer to Document 228-Log07 for examples.
