Item #: SCP-785
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-785 must be stored in a cool and dry place. SCP-785 is only allowed to be accessed by personnel with level 4 security clearance to prevent misuse.
Description: SCP-785 is a cardstock carton containing ninety-three (93) █████ brand cigarettes. When smoked, SCP-785 will eliminate the need of oxygen in aerobic lifeforms. However, 24 hours after the smoking of SCP-785, oxygen will become toxic to the user of SCP-785. This will quickly lead to the user’s death, and, therefore, is not recommended for field use.
Document 785-01: After a period of 24 hours, SCP-785 will cause the following symptoms when oxygen is breathed: Coughing, sore throat, dizziness, loss of consciousness, and death. It takes several minutes of exposure to breathed oxygen to cause death. If exposure to SCP-785 is suspected, report to Medical immediately for tests and fitting of anaerobic breathing apparatus (ABA).
Document 785-02: Second hand smoke from SCP-785 has no obvious effects, but large amounts can lead to a minor allergic reaction to oxygen, mostly consisting of a constant rhinorrhea. However, tests with rodents has revealed that excessive amounts can lead to normal effect.
