Special Containment Procedures: SCP-788 is to be stored in a secure locker at Site-██. Testing must only be performed by Class D personnel, and only with prior permission from Level 4 personnel.
Description: SCP-788 is a packet of twenty-five (25) silhouette-style paper gun targets of a standard design identical to that used by police forces for gun training. The pages are identical to other products produced by the ██████████████ company, and do not exhibit any anomalies in their composition. Pages of SCP-788 are easily destroyed via incineration or cutting.
When a firearm is discharged at SCP-788 and any part of the silhouette is hit, the user simultaneously is wounded in a manner identical to that if they were hit in the indicated area on the target. The wound appears to have been caused by ammunition identical to the type fired, though no bullet is found on the victim's body afterwards, and high-speed photography simply show the effects of the wound without any projectile causing it. Rounds retrieved are also perfectly normal, and show no evidence of having struck a living target.
SCP-788 was retrieved from a police firing range in █████████, █████ after an incident involving Sergeant ████ █████████, who was critically injured when his first round hit SCP-788's chest. Sergeant █████████ was administered a Class A amnesiac and fully recovered with no observed side effects.
Seven (7) pages of SCP-788 have been used, and eighteen (18) unused pages remain.
Experiment Log 788-1:
Class D personnel were used to determine the limits and range of SCP-788's effects. All experimentation was performed at Firing Range B at Site-██. High-speed cameras were used to record both the effects on SCP-788 and the test subjects.

Procedure: One sheet of SCP-788 was set up at a range of 3 meters. Subject instructed to fire at a blank (white) section of the target.
Result: Bullet perforated the target in a blank area. Subject unharmed.

Weapon: Beretta 92F 9mm handgun, loaded with S&W 9mm FMJ ammunition.
Procedure: Subject instructed to fire at the left arm of the same target.
Result: Subject was immediately wounded in the left arm. Wound was consistent with that from a 9mm FMJ bullet. High speed camera recorded no anomalies at SCP-788, and blood spray patterns were consistent with impact from the ammunition used. Fired round retrieved, examined, and found perfectly normal. Subject treated and no anomalous effects were observed, then terminated normally at end of month.

Procedure: One sheet of SCP-788 was set up at a range of 3 meters. Subject instructed to fire at the center (heart) of the target.
Result: Subject was immediately shot through the heart and died instantly. Examination of recordings and materials retrieved similar to that of previous test, with no anomalous observations other than Subject's wound.

Weapon: Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun, loaded with 12 gauge shotgun shells.
Procedure: One sheet of SCP-788 was set up at a range of 3 meters. Subjected instructed to fire at the head of the target.
Result: Subject was immediately shot in the head and died instantly. Wound was appropriate for the ammunition used. No anomalous observations other than the wound were recorded.

Weapon: M40A3 sniper rifle, loaded with 7.62mm ammunition and attached to an auto-targetting, remote firing system
Procedure: One sheet of SCP-788 was set up at a range of 100 meters. Subject instructed to use the remote system to fire the weapon at the target.
Result: Target was struck in the upper chest, and Subject was immediately wounded in the same area. Wound was appropriate for the ammunition used.
Subject: D-36712, a former military sniper incarcerated for killing or wounding ██ people with a sniper rifle during a rampage in [DATA EXPUNGED].
Date: ██/██/20██
Weapon: M40A3 sniper rifle, loaded with 7.62mm ammunition
Procedure: One sheet of SCP-788 was set up at a range of 1000 meters. Subject instructed to fire the weapon at the target.
Result: After lining up the target and gauging wind and other factors, Subject hit the target perfectly in the head. Subject was immediately shot and killed by a wound to the head as well.
Addendum: Despite the target having been hit precisely where the right eye would be, no damage was caused to the scope of the rifle.
